Sorry if I’ve been slow to respond to all of your lovely comments, or slow to comment on your lovely projects this week.
I was in the Berkshires, furiously hitting “reload” on my iPhone, trying desperately to get a signal. I managed to sneak in a few little comments, but some of them refused to go through.
I’m home now, though, and as if the mountain of laundry and scurf of plastic toddler toys don’t make for enough mess around here, I made a big mess of fabric.
It’s all for a good cause, though.
And some of the fabric is for one of you! I bought two charm packs of Architextures from Tactile FabricsΒ to giveaway in celebration of my 100th blog post. My order came lickety-split, and was packaged beautifully. (I kept the packaging to send the charm packs on, it was that good.) And…I love it when fabric shops include a little fabric “treat,” though I am used to getting snippets. I got a huge 3”x20” scrap of TYPE. Yep. I kept it. π
Please just comment on this, my 100th post, to have a chance to win the charm packs. One comment per person, please. I want to know…a good book you have read lately! (I am always trolling for recommendations.) I’ll close the comments mid-week next week and randomly select a winner.
Thanks, all, for making my blogging experience such a fun one. You-all are the BEST kind of community.
I should be cleaning my house at the moment too but thought I would come an check my email and blogs. This is such a great line and I would love some more to play with. Great giveaway! Great blog π One talented lady π
I have recently read the Aurora Teagarden series from Charlain Harris. These were lesser known than her Sookie Stackhouse series, but I do a lot of audiobooks when I am quilting and loved these! Congrats on your 100th post!!
My house is such a mess too, with not having the extra set of hands of my husband but having him more as an additional dependent; the house is in a shocking state. Luckily we have to tidy this weekend for the cleaners to come on Tuesday.
I have not had a lot of time to read with all the projects going on and with work. I loved Patchwork Please, however I am dying to read 3 books though, which are on my night stand….Shadow of the Night (Deborah Harkness..2nd book in the series), Clockwork Princess (Cassandra Clare…3rd book) and Finale (Becca Fitzpatrick..4th and final book).
I love the give away π
Love your Boston fabric pull! It’s not a new book, but I just finished re-reading The Shoemaker’s Wife by Adriana Trigiani – love that one!
I’m am loving those bright colors with the low-volume fabrics – I can’t wait to see it. One of my all time favorites isn’t new, but if you haven’t read it I suggest The Time Travelers Wife. Such a good story! Congrats on your 100th post!
*chuckles* Hell I finished seven books in the last two days. I have a large list of suggestable novels. I read mostly paranormal romance. I would suggest reading Karen Marie Monings Fever series, Katie MacAlisters vampire and dragon series, hmm childish but Tamora Pierces Circle of magic and other series. I love the circle of magic series for its unique characters I can never decide if I prefer the weather mage or the stitch witch. I recently got a kindle so Ive grabbed a lot of the free novels off of amazon to read. Id love to talk more books with you and other people!! Grats to you as well π
How lovely…100 posts! Congrats! I’ve loved reading along so far and can’t wait for the next 100+ posts!
Right now I am reading the “No 1 Lady Detective Agency Series” by Alexander McCall Smith. The first one isn’t too bad. But I don’t think it compares to a good Agatha Christie, which I have read a few and would recommend for a quick satisfying read. Another recent book I really enjoyed was “Master Butchers Singing Club”. The author really is amazing with words and after reading this book I want to read all of her work.
Anyway…Great little giveaway to celebrate and again a big congrats!
Read recently?? I haven’t read much of anything recently. The last book I read was rereading the Hobbit. I do love the Outlander series if you are looking for some time traveling, semi-trashy, Scottish Highland historical fiction π Congrats on the 100th postie.
I’m reading the Beautiful Creatures books after buying them for my teenager…now we are fighting over who gets to read them first! Congrats on the 100th post! π
Congratulations, Laura, on your 100th post! Great milestone. I’ve just finished “The Darcys of Pemberley” by Shannon Winslow. It’s a “follow on” from Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, with the language just a little updated for ease of reading, and is a delight to read. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
The most “recent” book I’ve finished re reading is pride and prejudice, an oldie but a goodie
